Gluten Allergy & Sensitivity & Accidental Exposures

Gluten Allergy & Sensitivity!!! Where my people at? Getting glutened AKA accidental exposure is the worst!!! It got to a point where I was having such bad anxiety about eating out with friends and family that it took all joy out of the experience and added too much stress to my body. Battling chronic illness with multiple food sensitivities led to a battle with orthorexia (obsession with proper/healthful eating) that had a bigger impact on my mental health and well being. Living in a heightened stress of fear of food for a possible bad reaction is a great way to have a reaction! I was putting my body on high alert. 🤯Serious anxiety if I couldn't get organic and grass fed food! Fear of all the "bad" things the food may have if I couldn't eat the cleanest, healthiest food. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

After a lot of work, I now really focus on telling my body it's safe and if something is cross contaminated I'll be ok, I know what to do. My body is way less reactive since reclaiming my mental health and anxiety around food. I keep Gluterase and activated charcoal in my purse now. Gluterase is taken before I eat at a restaurant for protective measure, it helps digest & inactivate gluten. Activated charcoal is there if I know I got exposed to something I'm sensitive to and I'll take as soon as I have a symptom to bind up and absorb what shouldn't be there.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
